terrible choice for reader, January 27, 2003

The book is by a British woman, the characters are mainly British, and yet the publishers chose an American man to read it! Wow! That choice totally ruins the book. His attempt at an English accent is laughable. I couldn't finish it and I usually love Val McDermid's work. Guess I'll have to get a paper copy.
