    Reader Reviews
Dreadfully Boring, June 16, 2003 Reviewer: jtthiel from Nova Scotia, Canada This review concerns the original 1955 edition and the revised 1975 edition which is a shorter version of the original. A search for stolen antique furniture sends Nancy, Bess and George to the Amish country of Pennsylvania. This book was sooooo boring. The mystery was not interesting and typically the "exciting" chapter endings had little or nothing to do with the mystery. There was a secret connected with one of the pieces of furniture, but you learn so little about it until the end of the book that I just didn't care and when it was revealed it was dull anyway. The end of the book is terrible as the crooks are caught without any help from Nancy. Unless you want to read the entire set, I'd skip this one.
