Not Bad, But It Could Be More Exciting, September 14, 2003 Reviewer: jtthiel from Nova Scotia, Canada This review concerns the original 1954 edition as well as the revised 1974 edition. Nancy meets Henri and Helene Fontaine, who have fled from their home country of Centrovia and now run a dance school in River Heights. Now the Fontaines are being threatened and fear for their lives. Nancy is determined to find to find out who is threatening the Fontaines and why. This book is alright. The mystery is okay and there is a bit of action. One thing that I did enjoy about the book was that at the end, Nancy participated in capturing the criminals. She may not have physically done it, but at least she was present, unlike in so many of the books were you get an ending like "As Nancy arrived the police were putting handcuffs on so-and-so" or "Two hours later the police called and said that the suspects had been arrested". How exciting is that? It's not!!! The book could have been a little more exciting, however, and it never really held my attention throughout. The book is worth reading, but it isn't one of my favourites.
