The '60s. Whether you were born in, studied in school, or tripped through that magical decade, The Tragical Mystery Tour provides a groovy night of mystery set against the psychedelic era. This installment in the How to Host a Murder series includes all the necessary items for planning and hosting a four-hour mystery party for eight people. As Lyle Acidtrip of Berkeley Student Security explains on the cassette tape that begins the evening, Rock Star Hedda Leiss has been killed in a bus explosion. One of the guests is the killer, and through each course of the meal, all of the participants will reveal key pieces of information (and withhold a few secrets, as directed by their player's guides) until the karmically incorrect incident is put to rights. The Host Guide provides a multi-course menu (including a delicious Wild Rice Ring with cheese, spinach, and nuts) that is designed to fit with the schedule for the game (e.g. "8:15, End of Round One. Place casserole in oven and begin Round Two. Remove casserole at 9:00 p.m."). In addition to the Host Guide, eight player's books, and the tape, the package contains a map of the crime scene, secret clues, guest invitations, and nametags. --Patrick O'Kelley

= Fun   = Educational   = Durability   First Host a Murder, it was a success, October 9, 2003 Reviewer: A toy enthusiast from Michigan United States This was the first game I have bought of Host a Murder. I threw it as a halloween party. It worked out great. There were 8 adults. My partner agreed to handle dinner and the dishes while 8 of us played the game. This worked out really well. It was arkward to play the game while eating though. I would play a round, serve dinner, then pick it pick it back up. Between the third and fourth round, we served dessert. Allow atleast 4 hours to play the game. I also received a cd instead of a cassette for the game. This was a lot of fun.
