Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban: Grades 5-6 by J.K. Rowling
Reader Reviews 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: The best book so far (of the first 5), September 28, 2003 Reviewer: Linda Mesinger from New York, NY United States I highly recommend this book for all readers of all ages. However, I suggest you read the first two books to help put this one in context. Rowling's style of writing is simple and straightforward but you forget you're reading "a children's book." The story and the separate world she creates will suck you in and keep you wanting more. I found this book to be the most enjoyable of the first five simply because it's the most fun. The last 30 pages are the best. I've read it again and again. Many of the questions that you may try to supress as suspension of disbelief are answered, and the characters are more developed. One of the things I love about this series is that the books are also marvelously constructed mysteries. Each one has an ending you never would have suspected, but on a second read you realize how well it was all planned, and can't believe you never saw it coming. Give this series a try and you won't be disappointed.
